ELECTRICITY – CHARGING POINT AT THE CAMPSITE
If you have an electric car, there is a charging station from Norlys just outside the car park, you must bring your own charging cable.
In Denmark, it has become easy for electric car owners to utilise the entire charging network. Since 2021, EV drivers have been able to charge their cars more easily, regardless of which operator they are a customer of. The largest charging operators have signed an industry agreement that ensures that they open their networks to each other.
In concrete terms, this means that you can use your charger or app to charge your car at an E.ON charger. The price is set according to a ‘roaming tariff,’ which can vary. But the billing is done through your own charging operator or at the particular stand you use, via app or credit card. So you no longer need to be a customer of different companies to access their charging networks, but you still have to pay for charging at public charging points.
The only exception is Tesla’s Supercharger network, which is still only available to Tesla owners.
