ANGLING ON FJELLERUP BEACH
On 27 February 2025, we had the great pleasure of welcoming Jari, a full-time professional angler, who came to share his experience and passion for fishing with us. Jari, who has many years of experience, gives us a unique insight into how he works as a professional fisherman.

ARE YOU A FISHING SPOTTER ON YOUR NEXT HOLIDAY?
Fjellerup Strand is just a short walk from Hestehaven Camping and here you’ll find an easy and accessible fishing spot. The beach is ideal for fishing.
You can fish directly from the beach and catch several different species of fish. If you want to go a little further out, you can wade out into the shallow water areas found at the outer edges of the fishing site.
The summer season offers the most fish species, but both spring and autumn are the best times to catch sea trout. The summer and winter seasons can fluctuate a bit, but also have their absolute highlights.
Be aware that there is a conservation belt along the fishing spot.

If you need fishing equipment, you’ll find everything you need at Hegedalvildt, located just 2 kilometres from the campsite. They have a good selection so you can get the equipment you need for your fishing.

We have a specially designed area for both fish cleaning and grilling, so you can easily prepare your catch directly after fishing. There’s also freezing capacity if you’re lucky enough to catch a lot of fish and want to store them for later. So whether you want to enjoy freshly grilled fish right away or store your catch, we have the facilities to make it easy for you.
